Objective
The Alliance will assess needs within the Haitian service community to determine gaps in services and improve the quality of health and health related services for individuals of Haitian descent.

In striving to achieve this objective, the Alliance's focus will be on the major contributors to the global burden of ill-health:

       - Health System Infrastructures
       - Women's Health
       - Emerging Global Health Threats
       - Child Health
       - HIV/AIDS
       - Infectious Diseases
       - Disaster/Refugee Health
       - Mental Health

Activities:
1 - Conduct assessment that can provide basic information about the community's demographic and socioeconomic characteristics, its health status and health risks.
       - Review and gather epidemiological data
       - Identify critical issues
       - Develop an inventory of Health resources
       - Develop an action plan to address barriers and gaps
       - Implement recommendations from the action plan
       - Conduct an annual process to update the action plan and identify emerging issues

2 - Set national and regional priorities.
3 - Assess health care systems in terms of equitable distribution, efficient delivery, quality of care, and impact on health for Haitians.
4 - Explore innovative approaches to health care delivery and create alternative service delivery models that will enhance the health and well being of Haitian individuals.
